BY-LAWS
THE
GREATER MID-ONTARIO DOBERMAN FANCIERS
MEMBERSHIP
Any person who subscribes to the aims and objectives of the
Club shall be eligible for Membership provided:
That
the Person is in good standing with the Canadian Kennel
Club, and
That
such Person has not been convicted of cruelty to or neglect
of animals.
Any Person desiring Membership in the Club shall submit
his/her application on a form approved by the Club, duly
sponsored by a Club Member in Good Standing whenever
possible, together with the Annual Fees to the Club
Secretary or Membership Chairperson.
Any Application for Membership that does not receive more
than 50% of the accepted votes of approval of the Club’s
Members attending the meeting the application was submitted
will not be approved.
ORGANIZATION
The Officers of the Club shall be a President, a
Vice-President, a Treasurer, a Secretary and two (2)
Directors.
The Executive of the Club shall consist of the above
Officers together with the immediate Past President.
The Officers shall be elected at the Election Meeting and
shall hold Office for the term of two (2) years commencing
October 1st of the election year.
The Executive shall have the authority to appoint such
Committees that are deemed desirable.
MEETINGS
Regular Meetings: The Club shall meet at periodic times as
determined by the Executive.
The Annual Meeting of the Club shall be the September
Meeting.
The Election Meeting of the Club shall be the Annual
Meeting that occurs in odd number Calendar Years.
FINANCE
The Financial Year of the Club shall commence on the 1st
day of October and shall conclude on the 30th day of
September next following.
Dues shall be in the amount of Thirty Dollars ($30.00) for
Single and/or Family Membership per year.
The Funds of the Club shall be placed in a Branch of any
Canadian Chartered Bank or Canadian Trust Company.
All cheques issued by the Club shall require any two (2)
signatures of the Treasurer, President and Vice-President.
Should this Club remain inactive for a period of one (1)
year or should its Members decide to dissolve the Club, all
assets will be converted to cash and transferred by way of
cheque to the PET TRUST at THE UNIVERSITY OF GUELPH.
PROCEDURE
All meetings of the Club and of its governing bodies and
all other matters of practice and procedure not otherwise
herein specified shall be governed by the Common Law of
Procedure of Canada, Roberts Rules of Order, current
edition.
ALTERATION
OF BY-LAWS
Any proposal to alter these By-Laws shall be presented for
debate in at least two (2) regular meetings of the Club and
thereafter be approved by two-thirds (2/3) of the Members
in Attendance.
